✓ No Background Tracking: Aether Weather DOES NOT track, collect, or monitor your location in the background when the app is closed.
If permission is granted (POST_NOTIFICATIONS), the Application delivers local alerts regarding imminent severe weather events, significant temperature shifts, and daily atmospheric summaries. You can disable this permission at any time in the app settings or Android system settings.
The Application stores custom preferences locally on your device (e.g., preferred measurement units °C/°F, saved cities, theme mode). This data is stored strictly on your local device storage and is never uploaded to remote servers.
To provide accurate meteorological forecasts, the Application sends anonymized geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude) to public weather API providers over secure HTTPS / TLS encrypted channels. These third-party services do not receive or store any identifying user credentials.
Because we do not maintain personal profiles or account databases on remote servers, no historical location records are retained by us. You can remove all locally stored preferences instantly by clearing the app data or uninstalling the application.
Aether Weather is intended for general audiences as a weather utility. We do not knowingly solicit or collect data from children under the age of 13.
We value your trust. All network requests for weather forecasts are transmitted through standard encrypted HTTPS protocols to safeguard data in transit.
